she seems to be doing better but still not eating on her
own. I had a couple of stange things happen that I have
not seen her do though.

I have been taking her out for 20 minutes/day to get
some sun. She turned black the first time, it was really
weird. Yesterday it was really funny as she was on my
lap and started headbobbing. She will get full run of
her enclosure tomorrow so hopefully she will get back
into her old routine and begin eating on her own. I am
giving her water and calcium still via syringe.

Any ideas on the color change and hyperactivity after
being in the sun?

Thanks for asking

Dark colors soak up the sun's heat. Light colors reflect it. Think about sitting in the sun w/a black t-shirt vs. a white t-shirt. I don't know if ALL ig's do it but, it's not unusual for an Ig (or any reptile that can change color or color intensity) to darken when they first get out in the sun. All of mine do If they're out there long enough to get warm, then really warm. . . the color goes back to normal than will actually lighten up.
As for the head bob's (I can just see her doing it too. How cute.). . . I'd bet $100 it was just her way of expressing shear delight and joy. Basking is Ig heaven. They sun is absolute magic to them. Next time. . .take a close look and I bet you can see a smile (if not on her mouth, then in her eyes anyway).
Glad to hear Beanie's doing well and sounds like her spirits are up too. Good deal.
