Caught Another Corn

Well I decided to try my luck today at some abandoned buildings I knew of. After trying the first 2 spots with no luck I arrived at the third and began flipping tin. When I entered the building this beauty was climbing on what used to be a fuse box. She was found on the opposite side of the Osceola county as the other one, about 60 miles away.

Hi Cole. Some nice finds, especially for this time of year.It keeps the blood flowing for us herpers that are freezing right about now. This isnt meant to take any wind out of Your sails or to disrespect You or Your posts. We are all guilty at some point of taking something out of the wild.Hopefully everybody gives back like Myself and others that I know have, but,at some point,You definately want to get those big breeder size adults back out in the wild for dormancy and breeding next season.I guaeantee You will come across a hatchling sooner than later to raise up....Again,keep the great posts going, its nice to see people that have a passion about the field like I do....Good luck....

You know, they only juvenile I have ever found(in August) I released the next day. Honestly I am not a big colubrid person, I prefer the boids. Corn snakes do not normally impress me, as so many are kept in captivity. I would have never thought of breeding corns, even the morphs, until now. It just happened to turn out the smaller individual was a male and the larger one was a female. I would be surprised if breeding them would pay for itself, but I think I may give it a shot. Sorry, but I won't be releasing them, at least, not now.-Cole

My uncle told me this when I was little. He lives in rural upstate ny on an 8 acre farm. I live in suburbeian Long Island NY.

I wanted to find some cool snakes to bring home, as the year beofore I found a hatchling milksnake there. He told me I can bring anyhting home I wante, but to really look at. The snake will tell me if it wants to stay free or not, and then it is my decison...

I don't bring many snakes home, I brought a very docile garter home once, and she was great. Realeased it a few months later, becuase it didnt look happy...

I hope you do the right thing
