Temporary Housing for a Goniurosaurus luii, Pics

tethered Dec 01, 2004 10:02 PM

Hello everyone,

I've got a 1.2 trio of Goniurosaurus luii on the way. I haven't gotten the tank yet (I'm waiting for that to be delivered as well), so in the meantime I'm setting up some temporary enclosures for them. I have a 10 gallon tank and some tupperware containers that will have to suffice for now.

Here's some pictures of the 10 gallon (first one is from directly above and second is from the side):

The others will be set up similarly but in tupperware. It's cramped, I know, but I hope it will hold them over until I recieve the bigger tank. What do you guys think? Do I have all of the requirements? Any advice is welcome.

it looks okay to me. i am not fond of the wood/bark chips since crickets/roaches tend to make their way under the pieces, but i guess if you feed them in a different tank, they shouldnt be a problem. nice set up. good luck

Thanks for the info, maclen. G. luii require a pretty humid environment (~60-80%). When the bark is damp it tends to make a loose "cake", so to speak. In those conditions I think crickets will have a tough time getting under it, but I could be wrong. I guess I'll just have to monitor them during their first few feedings and see how things go. Worst case scenario I'll just have to take them out to feed. Thanks again!
