I have 2 young leos and they said not to use sand so i got reptile turf and sometimes when i feed them crickets they`ll go after the cricket and if they miss the bottom of their face like gets stuck to the turf and they struggle for like 3sec but eventually become loose do you think i should switch to linolim squares?

Linolium squares would certaintly be easier for the geckos as far as biting goes...

I noticed my leos refuse to open their mouth when they can't eat something, they'd rather just pull on it.

If they're really having a hard time I'd reccommend the change.

Another option is to simply turn the retile carpet over. the bottom is smoother and they do not get caught up in it as easily. I personally think the tile is best, but it is another option. or even a temporary solution until you get tile
