Feeding response

spmills Dec 02, 2004 03:13 AM

Ok i have fed over 500 snakes live food and only one snake frozen thawed food. But i have not even heard of this happening. When i presented my baby brb with a thawed rat pinkie he was in his tree and when i moved it towards his head he just opened his mouth and started to swollow it started at 4:01 a.m i held it for about two minutes wheni figured i should let go and see how he does on his own. Now it is 4:07 walking back to cage to see how process is going..... He is at the butt now and still going. Wow i have never had such an amazing feeling before with one of snakes it was like we were one (I know cheesey) but that is how it felt. No strike and wrap just, ok he is offering me food and i will just take it. SWEET Man I love BRB's.... going back to check 4:09 now..... ok he is all done swolling "spelling" rat. It is about half down in his body, man did that stretch him out. I will post pics either late friday or early saturday, do not want him to be stressed and regurg.

Thx guys for the support and info.

Steve,
My new baby female does the exact same thing and so does my 2.5 year old female. It is the coolest thing. It reaaly does make you feel like one with your snake. My wife just doesn't understand!
