Hey all! I am considering creating a large, terrarium-type enclosure for my atb's and would like to know if anyone has done anything like this and if so, what the results were. Here's the details - I have a custom built enclosure that is 7' long x 30" wide x 24" high. My big male b&w tegu currently lives in there, but he will most likely be moving into an even larger enclosure shortly. This enclosure would be ideal to set up with tons of branches and even some live plants (small ficus trees, pothos, etc.) since it already has full spectrum lighting and has been designed to hold humidity. I live in S FL, so maintaining temps would not be a problem. What I want to do is add my current two established adults, possibly my sub-adult and ultimately one more pair of established adults. In addition, I have a pair of CA boas that I think would do well in there too. Their parents were both only about 6 feet long so I don't expect them to get much bigger than that (only around 4.5 feet now at 2.5 years old). I think this would be a killer example of a classic community terrarium and a great display piece. I also think it might end up being a good breeding colony for the atb's with any luck. The Palm Beach zoo has a big display with atb's and I would really like to do something similar. Fire away with your comments........
