Hi there,
I have read your posts in other forums and just want to "chat" a bit more. Being an Asian who grew up in Asia, there were very few people, like us, that I know who is into reptile. I think you are lucky that it is legal to own these wonderful animals there. Do you guys plan to setup reptile club? What is the process of applying a permit to keep reptile as pet and how much it cost?
I am a member of the Bay Area Reptile and Amphibian Society in Northern California. However, I might move back to Asia, possibly M'sia.

Hi
I lived in Malaysia for 3 and a half years. It is very easy to buy and to keep reptiles in Malaysia because the country 's weather is great! Most of the reptiles you can keep outdoors during the whole year!Carefull with the reptiles you buy at the petshops. Most of the petshops owners dont have a licence to sell the reptiles they are selling and you can get into trouble with the Wild Life Department. They can confiscate the animals you bought or/and they will not give you an export licence to take them out of the country. Some Malaysian vets can even tell the Wild Life Department authorities that you are keeping illegal exotic animals in your house.
The same thing happens in India but in India, where im living now, the weather is very bad for reptiles. Half of the year is too hot for them, and another half its too cold! And soo poluted the UVB rays cannot pass through the pollution!
