can i use compressed coconut fiber for my hognoses? what about for my brooksi? thanks a bunch

I tried to use it for a while with several species of snakes and found that it is too dessicating. If you don't keep it sprayed down thoroughly every two or three days, you snakes will have problems shedding. Small snakes can actually get so dehydrated they can die.

It looks good, but I don't use it anymore.

I agree, it is only good if it stays moist, which is not appropriate for a hognose. On top of that, when it does dry out it becomes very dusty which can be a respiratory irritant. Nothing is wrong with Aspen, stick with that.

i use it for my hogs and corns and have no problems. they all know where their water bowls are. hognoses need very little hummidity anyways.
