Question about Bell Albinos???

Niqui27 Dec 02, 2004 07:58 PM

I recently purchased a female Bell Albino. She is from the JMG Reptile bloodline. Since I've had her she has shed twice and is now completely tangerine. I've looked at many pics of Bells, but almost all the ones I've seen have some patches without color on them. (Look at the classifieds under JMG's bell albinos for sale. They all have some areas with no color.) I was just curious if there is such a thing as a Bell Hybino? From her head to 1/4 down her tail is covered with nothing but orange and her spots. Does anyone else have a Bell like this? Is there a name for this? Thanks for reading

It's hard to visualize the gecko that you are describing. Yes there are Bell Hybinos. Kelli Hammack from HISSS has some goregus ones. Some of us are a couple of steps behind her.
These are a couple of my Bell females that I produced this year.

Yeah, mine looks very similar to those. I would have posted pics, but I seem to have misplaced my camera. So those would not be considered hybinos? Would they be tang bells? I guess it doesn't matter how my little bell is classified, because I think she's beautiful!

Letkeys, will you be selling any of your bell offspring next season. Eventually I would like to get a nice male to breed with my female.

When and if I do release any next season you will see ads here in the classifieds.

These would not be considered hybino. In my opinion, they would need 10 or less spots on the body. Just like any hypo. I would consider them Tangerine Bell albinos. Just like you I am proud of them none the less. I think they are beautiful.
