Is this a northern?

snakesnatcher Dec 02, 2004 09:24 PM

I guess this is a northern water snake, just wanted to confirm. He's eating voraciously on guppies of course, and i got him to eat a scented lizard once. That's one thing i love about water snakes, this guy will feed right through his shedding cycle, and is always so active.

Yes that's a Northern (Nerodia sipedon) and a nice looking one at that. Do you know what part of the country it came from?
