I kept 2 adults in a 10 gal before... honestly I don't think they were very comfortable. I gave them plenty of hides, but that small of a cage is way too cramped. It's really not even big enough to create a proper thermal gradient anyway. Personally I think a 20 gal. long is the minimum for 1 just because you barely can get the cage setup properly with a 10.
I guess this situation is similar to all our conversations about tokay geckos. Some believe a tokay (sometimes even a pair) will be plenty fine in a 20 gal. and others believe the absolute minimum is 65 gallons (100 gal for a pair). It's all just a matter of opinion and personal experience.
