Not eating

hannibal18 Dec 03, 2004 12:17 AM

My california kingsnake hasn't eaten in over a month where she usually eats 3 every week. I have tried small frozen mouse, and a live mouse on monday but she won't take anything.
Any suggestions? Thanks

I also have a baby cali king who is still eating just fine, just my older girl who is being weird.

it could be that she's just settling down for her winter brumation but if not you could try this.

place the frozen mouse ontop of tank place a set of tongs directly over it the place your heat lamp/light on top of that leave it for approx 20-30 mins . ive had a lot of success with all of my snakes using this method , it seems to get their juices flowing .. i can even get my s.florida to eat when its in full shed (cloudy eyes).

worth a shot anyways

good luck
