Continental airlines adds service from Houston to Del rio

jim_d Dec 03, 2004 08:44 AM

Starting in March Continental will provide service right to Del Rio from Houston. That will save about 3 hours. Now I can sleep late, have lunch at home in Jersey, and be on 277 at sunset!

This is the rediculously long link to follow to the press release, or just go to http://www.continental.com to see what they say!

Well Jimbo, that's all fine and well, but I can tell you from experience that you better make sure you arrive on a weekday because there are no car rental facilites open after 7 O'clock on Friday. The town pretty much rolls up on the weekends.

Don't laugh Shannon, it died again today!! It sounded like a backfire when I tried to start her, and now all she does is turn over and over but no ignition. Could it be the fuel pump.........AGAIN????? She now has 351,000 plus on her. Not quite ready to give it up yet. Still have 150,000 to go. I actually think that it has seen it's last West Texas trip as of September to tell you the truth. I don't feel real optimistic about reviving her this time....................and the saga continues.

That's good to know, about 5 years too late for me. My parents lived in Houston when I lived in Del Rio, that drive was killer.

The "International" airport in Del Rio made me laugh. One flight to Mexico, one flight to Dallas. Houston is a nice addition. Flying out of Dallas is not fun.
