so i've got a six month old res and a 3 year old male res together...now the male has been doing the nail dance to the little guy...does this mean the lil one is a female or can the turtle even tell what it is yet? Also is this size difference safe?

I have a pair of males and they do the claw fluttering at each other. It isn't an indication of gender. How big is the big turtle? I guess if they aren't fighting, then they are fine.
