Sick mice...

calienteA1 Dec 03, 2004 02:00 PM

If you feed your snake a sick mouse, is it likely that your snake could get sick, and possibly die? I live in NYC, so the only thing around here is petland, and their mice don't look to good sometimes.

You are what you eat!!! Living where you do there are a number of shows fairly close to you, why don't you check some of them out and start with frozen?? Sometimes people even have live at the shows. I would try all other opitions before feeding my snakes a sick mouse. Or if you can't travel, call Big Cheese Rodents, he will ship frozen to your door. His stuff is great!

Your boa can get coccidia or cripto from a sick rodent, among other things. Switch to frozen if you must.
