I tried the humid hide with the green moss inside but he didn't want to go in there so I took the moss out and he went underneath it right away. Would it be ok if i just keep the green moss moist and not the bedding? Thanks

The hide is just a means of giving the tortoise a place to feel secure.
I keep tortoises in shoeboxes where I moisten one side on a daily basis.
