what are these monitors temperments like: peach-thoat, argus, Freckled.

I think Peachthroats are real flighty. Very pretty animals though. Argus are flighty when young, but can calm down "some" when adults. I have seen some that settled down after they were handled for a while. I am waiting for my 2 argus to calm down.
I don't know anything about the freckled monitors.

Peach Throats just like "most" indo monitors are nervous flighty animals. Argus are known to be nice big strong bull dogs. They can become calm but so can a nile. Freckled are much like timors. They are small, nervous, and flighty. If you want a calm monitor you'll need to go with one of the bigger ones (atleast in my experience). Most babies are nervous and flighty but calm as adults.

if i were to suggest anything as a pet , i would definately go with ackies , these guys are incredible , best monitor choice in my opinion
