mealanistic leo? someone's post prior to mine made me think about it...i started looking for one today with no luck...;[

anybody with any insight on this please feel free to fill me in

the all black leo is a beautiful specamin i wouldn't mind having one of ;D

You have not had luck finding one because there are none.....

actually...according to this site they do exist...here's a picture as proof that the mostly black hued hyper-melanistic exists ;] i wish i could find where tho

I knew that pic would show up..... That is clearly not melanistic because you can still see a pattern and I am also willing to bet that that animal changed dramaticly and is no longer that dark...... Look up the word melanistic and you will see what I am talking about.....

Well this can be a touchy subject. I do agree with Greggmm that there are no "real" melanistics. But I do strongly believe in hyper melanistic which I am posting a pic of one. she was way to skinny after getting her from someone who had bred her to young, luckily she is fattened up now. I do believe in midnight leopard geckos, which in turn is an all black leopard gecko. I do very much believe that I will be able to produce all black leo's in the very near future.

Cool midnight you got there.... I bought a baby midnight bliz a year back and as it got older it turned like a grape purple..... She is cool looking but she aint what she was sold to me as.....

well ok...a midnight blizzard seems to resemble a mealanistic (whether it exists or not)...i'm refering to an all black form of a gecko...if it seems the midnight blizzard is the only way i'll get one...where do i find one of these?
