Yellowbelly or not? PIC

evers310 Dec 04, 2004 03:11 PM

It this big girl a yellowbelly or not? She has lots of blushing up top and a fairly clear belly. I have stared at pics of yellowbellys until my eyes crossed and I still cant tell for sure.

Looks normal to me. Looks just like one of my females at home. Why would you think its a yellow belly? Wishful thinking perhaps?

evers310 Dec 04, 2004 03:24 PM

lol, yeah I guess so. As I've said I've stared at pics of yellowbellys and cant seem to see the difference. I know they are supposed to have clear yellow/white bellys and lots of blushing.

Yellowbellies have very distinctive belly patterns, I can't see why people don't see it.

Do the WC YB adult males for sale in the classified look like the real deal? They look it to me but I'm no expert...

bachman Dec 04, 2004 07:19 PM

I would say yes. There is some variation in YB's & they look like the real deal to me.

The adults bellies tend to look different than the hatchlings, but the general characteristics are there.

Yeah, it's blurry on my end too. Hard to make out anything close to details. Could be one, but from what I can see, I wouldn't place any money on it. Tracker, don't take any offense if it is, the pic just isn't a great representation of the animal.
