Hey I Just Got A Peach Throat Monitor. And I Need Sum HELP!

Marely the monitor is about a foot an a half long. how often should i feed him? Do they need to climb? He's in a 75 gal tank rite now with a big water bowl on one end and a basking spot on the other. it this tank big enough if not what size should he be in? i would appreciate any help. thanks
