I live in north eastern Mississippi. At, night the temps. are already reaching the 40's, but day time may be in the 60-70's. I understand with the cold, snakes begin to brumate. I am a very optimistic person and enjoy searching for these wonderful serpents. Even on unsuccessful nights road crusing ( many! lol) I still have fun. My question is, would I be wasting my time road cruising at this time of the year? Like I said I enjoy herping whether I am successful or not! I am wondering if there may still be a few snakes out cruising since the cold weather has just begun. Info and comments greatly appreciated!
