Juvenile Beardie Question

bxherp Dec 04, 2004 10:44 PM

Hi everyone. Today I took my juvenile beardie out. I just got him about two weeks ago. He has been really cool. But today he ran away from me. About fifteen mintues later I was able to catch him. He tried to bite me but missed. He has been eating fine and everything was really cool for the past two weeks. Is this an unusual disposition for juvenile beardies to run away and then try to bite? Any ideas on calming him down? Thanks in advance for any reponses-ELvy

Hi. I have a beardie that is 4 1/2 months old and he bites and runs off. Young beardies do sometimes act like this but in nearly all cases they chill out as they grow older. I have never seen a nasty adult in my life although i have heard of the odd one or two but babies yes. Give him time and he will mellow out im sure of it and dont worry, you arent doing anything wrong.
