I love the stuff as filler. I think it's still important to give live food plus salads but I do keep a dish of pellet in each cage all the time for them to munch on throughout the day. I also only use Repcal Juvie for any age animal, I like the balance on it better than others.

It that the moist food or the dry crunchy food? I feed mine the cruchy stuff with some water added, they only eat the green, yellow, & orange ones. Turns there poop some funky colors when they eat only one kind of color though. Looks like one of those playdough funsets went off inside the cage. lol

Ya, it's the little round crunchy ones (red, yellow, green). You can soak them to make them softer for babies but as juvies on up I just give them to them dry. It's not uncommon that they will only eat one color, or prefer one color over another.

Be careful giving them to them dry. I have heard that too much pelleted food without water added can be really hard on the kidneys. Just a heads up.

My opinion on them is that...well...I guess they're pretty good. i use the repcal adult bearded dragon formula. My bearded dragon would only eat crickets no matter what for the past year, year and a half maybe, and he started having problems (too much uric acid, etc.), so I had to get him on something better or else he would have died. The only thing I could get him to eat really was (and still is) red repcal pellets. He's never acted as healthy before as he does now. I'm hoping though that after brumation I can get him eating some greens, so I could get him on a schedule of like pellets in the beginning of the week, greens everyday, and a few crickets somewhere in the middle of the week.

So yeah, i guess I like them. they saved my beardie's life.

I soak my pellets also. It becomes another source of moisture for them. It's funny that yours won't eat anything, but red. Mine will only eat the green ones. I quit the crickets, because I was having parasite issues. I use waxworms on occasion.

I feed the Rep-Cal adult pellets. I tried feeding them the Juvie one time because I had some around, but they refused to eat it. They will only eat the large pellets and of course love the green ones.

I use pellets as a mian source and have had great success.

I use Repcal juvi also. I soak them just to try to get as much fluids in them as possible. They love them!
