Are baby veileds born with their casques?

I have a 2 month old vield male and i've had him since he was a week old. when i first got him his casque was nothing but a small lump on the top of his head. now its definetly rasied up a bit into a point. i'm not sure when it starts to get really big but i'm guessing around 5 months he should have a good sized one.
