My first clutch is hatching! Show me some Pastels!

Pastel Jungle Jul 02, 2003 12:05 AM

Quite a few months ago my male Pastel was bred to one of my normal females. She then grew quite large and I was almost convinced that she was just constipated, not gravid. On 5-07-02 she finally laid 7 eggs. I did not even candle them for fear that they might be bad. I just threw them right in the incubator. It was a real stresser for me and I assumed they would never hatch. Well..... This morning, 7-01-03, I found 2 heads sticking out of their eggs. This evening 2 more! 3 more eggs to go. Here is a pic I took this evening. Sorry about the babble, I'm just really excited with the success of my first clutch and the hope of seeing a Pastel slither out soon.
Thanks, Tom Baker

After reading the post above this I realized the the eggs were laid on 5-07-03 not 5-07-02.

It was incredibly exciting. I almost didnt think They were ever going to hatch. When 5 of them poked out without any Pastels, I was gettin a little worried, hahah. Luckily, I ended up with 2 Pastels so I am very excited.
Thanks for the replies James and Chris,
Tom Baker
I will post a pic of the group once they are all out.
