well i am now able to handle the boa but he still hisses. he just doesnt strike. i was going to take him to the vet this past saturday but he went into shed and the vet told me to wait until after. problem is i cant get him to shed. ive increased the humidity, misted him, and even went so far as to let him soak in my bathtub, but to no avail. i did notice that parts of the shed are disconnected from body in someplaces and were floating up (still attached to the body on one end) in the water, though. he still has the eyecap stuck on and im hoping that with this shed it comes off but im not holding my breath. do snakes ever not "want" to shed? im wondering if he is not shedding out of spite or what? anyway im expecting him to shed in the next day or 2 and when he does if the cap is still on i will take him to the vet.
