Feeding question

What are the hazards of feeding a baby burmese too large a prey item? I really don't want the little guy to hurt himself. Also is 95 too warm for his basking area? Cool end is at 80. Thank you.

The pray should not be bigger then the wides part of your snakes
body . 95 maybe a little hot i keep mine at about 88-90F

I fed my Guyanan red tailed boa a duck that was probably too big and she was dead a week later
