my beardie seems to have an impaction...he's been laying around for the past 2 days and hasn't pooped yet. is there anything i can do to help other than soaks and upping the temp? also, would one of those screen cages they sell for reptiles be ok for an outside cage? elliot likes to climb and hang on things so i think it would be fun for him but what do ya'll think?

You can try giving him just a drop or two of mineral oil. Also, the "Reptariums" are wonderful to keep dragons in outside. Make sure not to place it on concrete or asphalt, as those surfaces get too hot. Keep us updated!

it's a impaction unless you know you fed your beardie something too large or it ate substrate. It may also have parasites or another problem. Your beardie needs to have a fecal check done and a vet visit sure wouldn't hurt.
What were you feeding your beardie? How old is it? and what is your basking temp?

There's also the chance the your beardie just doesn't want to go right now. Mine usually goes every morning, but sometimes, seems to hold in in for two days (or even three ). She'll act perfectly normal, she just doens't go to the bathroom. Of course, sometimes I think she just waiting, for the first time I let her run free, so she can do it behind the TV or on my lap. (No seriously I do. Someone on the board mention once before something to the idea of...why take a big smelly dump in your living area, when you can just do it elsewhere and not have to run through it all day).
