I wouldn't worry about it, mine never had anything not alive either. Some may take fruits or veggies, but it isn't a big part of their diet and isn't necessary.

i always thought that mine wouldent go for anything moving till i noticed him climbing my book cases to try and eat all the white lettering off the spines of the books. for some reason he goes after any inanimate object which is ether black or white, but he'll never try any inanimate food items, except for one time where he attacked a spoonfull of quaker oats during my breakfast....

i dont htink that dragons are going to eat fruits/vegies, while catching small insects is still worth while.

once they get bigger i think they may be more willing.

i have heard people feeding peas though, rolling the peas along, so that the dragons go after them.

i fed mine some peach once, by acting like some was a worm, but after that he refused, and would spit it out...

my dragon seems to be able to identify his food sources visually, often without movement. i have seen him take dead insects, or insects that are in their metemophasis, and insects that are plain not moving for whatever reasons.

also strange, i used to hand feed him worms all the time, and then one time he bit onto my finger and then let go. since then, he has refused to take from my hand, and instead closes his eyes.

The best way to feed a waterdragon vegitables is in the gut of their prey. If you feed live insect, Zoophobas, for example, feed the worms veggies for a day or so before feeding to your lizards. My waterdragons will eat an occasions slice of peach, but generally speaking they don't make a meal of anything that doesn't need to be killed first.
