I witnessed some interesting behavior from my female sikorae last night.
I took her out of the enclosure for a few minutes to give her quick check-up, listened for any abnormal breathing, etc.
Then all of the sudden I see her open her mouth at me, and shows me her sikorae sikorae black. She didn't open it as much as she does when she gets really upset, but just enough for me to see her tongue, which she was wagging at me! It looked like it was bobbing up and down.

I'm guessing this is a defense mechanism, but I'm not quite sure. I wasn't handing her particularly aggressively or anything, and she didn't seem to be acting stressed out or anything after she did this.

Anyone else ever see this?
