Spoiled on Silkworms....

caredeocr Dec 06, 2004 11:00 AM

My 6.5 month old has been doing great, except he has become spoiled and lazy, probably my fault.

He will not eat crix anymore unless they happen to walk right by him when he is on the floor or if I hand feed him (he likes that a lot). He will eat as many silkworms as I put in there though. I know they are better anyways, but they are a hell of a lot mor expensive. Homer loves the big fatties too. I have been raising some for the past month and a half. They are just starting to get big enough to be worth anything, but it has taken a while.

Should I just feed him the crickets, and wait for him to get hungry enough to eat them?

As far as everything else goes, lights and temps are right on. He eats lots of greens and other veggies and fruits. Latest fecal samples were negative.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Chris

What temps are you incubvating at as it seems that they should be growing faster than that for you....
