Anyone here get feeders from Bigappleherp.com?

Antegy Dec 06, 2004 11:56 AM

I was just looking around to see what is out there for frozen feeders (prices, etc.).

I stumbled upon bigappleherp.com's website, and it looks like it might be worth a try.

Anyone have experience with the product from those guys?

Thanks,
- Mark

Just out of curiosity, what made you think they were worth a try. All I noticed was that their prices were double those of rodentpro? I'm not trying to bash anyone, I'm just wondering what makes them worth twice the money.

I have bought from them many times, and the prices are REALLY good, as long as you need stuff in bulk. If you don't plan on getting a lot of stuff then I might not recommend it as much because shipping is like $30 for the box and dry ice and insulation. But overall it can save you a LOT of money. All the rodents or rabbits come nicely packaged, flawless rodents, all the sizes are just as described and they are very nice to work with. I would order rabbits from there, but those prices are a little high, I can get 1-4 lbs for $4.00 at my local pet store. But make sure you buy in bulk if you do use them.

The thing that makes them worth a try is the potential for quality product. The prices at RodentPro are good, but the product is lacking. It usually is very sloppily packaged, and varies quite a bit from the weights given online. By contrast, the product from the mousefactory.com is great - very neatly packaged, clean, consistent product. Unfortunately, they don't offer items large enough for my needs anymore.

So I thought that perhaps bigappleherp might have a superior product, albeit at a higher price.

And so I decided to ask around before directing my business to them.
