Who has C.c. baylei?

lizard_lover Dec 06, 2004 03:10 PM

These guys have long been my favorites, and they seem a little hard to come by. Who has these pretty little guys? Does anyone on here breed them?

I would dearly love to see pictures if you have them.

Thanks so much!

What beautiful, soft colors Zuni has. I can see the C. c. baylei in the face, and what a pretty face that is!

Thank you for sharing your picture with me.

I would have thought that Zuni was a collaris. Cute face.

Eve told me she thought my Otis was a Baileyi; me, I am clueless, I just know I love all my little guys. My adults were all wild-captured within 60 miles or so of each other. Here is Otis, there are a few more photos in my gallery here and at my webpage. I am planning to breed him to Saige and maybe Fawn, too. So I'm trying to talk myself into preparing them for brumation soon. It is my first time and I am a bit nervous, plus I will really miss playing with them. I am keeping the babies awake, so at least I won't be going through withdrawals.

I completely understand your reservations about brumation. I'd sure miss mine, too.

Your Otis looks like a real bruiser in that picture!

Yes, it is a good disguise! He is very good natured and likes to snuggle and be held a lot.

Thanks Eve and Elan. I'm really proud of all of them, adjusting so well to captivity. And of me, too--six months ago I would have run away squealing had Otis come near me!
