humidifier??

kevinBD1 Dec 06, 2004 05:40 PM

I talked to a respiratory therapist and she said that w/ humans haveing a humidifier in the room helps w/ the infection(respiratory infection) What do yall think?? He also might be dehydrated a bit, I have a water dish in his cage that he can submerge in, so as long as he knows where the water is he still should drink right??

His breathing is about 16 breaths per minute, and some are spaced between and others come right after the other. He is still keeping his eyes closed most of the time, but seems to be a little bit more aware of whats going on around him, such as sounds, if he hears an odd noise he will open his eyes and sometimes hold his head up. More advice?

Maybe take him to a herp vet..? If it IS URI then leaving it is just going to make things worse, and URI can and will kill lizards if left untreated. If you are in any doubt I would seriously take him to vet; if it is nothing then you can stop worrying, and if it is a problem you will be in the right place at the right time. Mine came to me with suspected URI and was promptly put on a course of drugs to rid him of his wheeze and get him back in good health again.

He isnt wheezing thats the thing that puzzles me, he sneezed once that i noticed but no wheezing. Most of the time he just lays around w/ his eyes closed, the gets up just long enough to move to a different spot, then closes his eyes again.
