i have had my bearded dragon for 6 months and he has only gown about an inch is this bad?
how old is he/she?
marilee
when i bought her in july she was only two months
I am pretty new to dragons but my breeder did tell me that they should grow 1/4" to 1/2" a week for a few months and at your dragons' age I would assume he/she should have grown more than than they have. I for instance have a baby who is 9 weeks old and over 10 1/2" she was almost 7" when I received her a little over a month ago, however, she is much bigger than my other baby who is a month older. (they can grow at diff rates) What do you feed them and how often? Do you use any suppliments? uvb light? basking/cooling temps? There are so many reasons (even genetics) for a small dragon, but these will be the questions you will be asked by the more experienced breeders and owners on here, so you may want to go ahead and post these answers so they can better help you out.
Good luck!
A healthy bearded dragon not suffering from some kind of genetic dwarfism would have grown substantially in 6 months. You might have a Rankins dragon.
