tail regeneration on adult Merianae

la_panza Jul 02, 2003 05:00 AM

My adult female B&W tegu is a little bit nervous and when I pick her up we have to struggle a little every time..

Last time (I don't know how it happened), the tip of the tail broke, I saw drops of blood coming out and I noticed that 2 centimeters of tail are missing..,

it this a species capable of regenerating a chunk of tail??

thanks in advance...

Yes they will regenerate, but it will not look at all like the original. It will likely have uniform color (no patterns), and be slightly different than the animals original color.
