bloodboy128 Dec 06, 2004 09:00 PM

I have a 3 ft burm as most of you know, I post pretty often....He has been without hides for a few weeks now and seems ok but should i give him a hide>? If so do i need 1 on each skide or can i just have 1? Also what side should I put it on?
thanks, sorry for all the questions,
Jake

I've given all my snakes hides. And only one has actually used them.
My burms sleep on top of them...always have...my ball python spends his daytime hours in them.
My RTB lays alongside his.
My dumerils avoid it like the plague.
The only that really uses it, is my BRB...my burms never used them.
I really think they like to see what's going on.

My girl has a hide which she has never once used and a climbing branch which she LOVES. She also comes right up to the glass whenever someone comes into the room -- it does seem like they prefer to be "in on the action," and don't really seem bothered by potential threats.

On the other hand, I have read that a hidespot should be provided for all boids, big or small, just in case they want to use it. So I guess I'm just not very helpful today. :P

I give my 10 footer a very large hide under his cage and he uses it all the time but...he does like to rest his head on the edge of the opening so he can see his cage.

I do not care how many people have them that dont use them..still offer it a hide. What can it hurt? I know equally as many burms that use hides.
