I know of the following:
It was a ground dwelling species that was found along shores and cultivated fields between rocks and grass. Due to no previous interaction with humans, it was described as tame and inquisitive even climbing willingly on observer's legs (Day) The head was described jerking side-side and tonque flickering as it walked. It was brown/green or brown in coloration with 3 stripes running the full length of it's body and was about 6 inches -15 cm LOA, 3 inches SVL. It was oviparous and as such it's efforts were defeated by mongooses, rats, cats etc. Efforts were made to keep this species in captivity but the efforts were completely unsuccessful. The natural diet appears to have been centipedes and insects. The reunion skink was declared extinct in 1880.
Anyone with additional info that wishes to post would be appreciated.
