Interesting Coastal HL paper

Cable_Hogue Dec 07, 2004 07:38 AM

This has some interesting species info.
This paper cites Rugosus and Desertorum as the primary food of P. C. Bl. My experience is with P. C. Frontale in areas where there are no Rugosus or Desertorum. The primary (and only from my observation) Pogo was Subnitidus, a small red pogo. Other ants were Camponotus (mostly nocturnal) and Messor Andrei. This is interesting ready anyways.
Cheers!

Hey Cable,
I think they were citing Whitford and Bryants paper on p. cornutum. I dont think pogo desortorum even inhabits CA. There are some papers on coronatum ant preference, do a google search coronatum suarez pdf.
TTYL,
Jeff

You're right Jeff! That's what I get for getting up too early.
I'll do that search.
Thanks
