Nothing special, but a pair that I threw together again this season. The male is around 2400g and the female is around 2900g. This is the first time I am attempting multiple males on the same female to see what the results are. The female produced some very nice offspring when paired with this male in the past couple of years. She was also introduced to a nice pastel male who sired some clutches last year at six months of age. I have one other female that I did the same just to see how the clutches turn out. The pattern shows through on every breeding about 50% of the time in varying degrees. The actual color is more olive and much lighter than the photo, but this has yet to be reproduced yet. This year I am breeding him to one of his daughters who has degrees of pattern variation, but not the color to see if the color is a separate trait and if degree of variation changes much.

Just wondering if you are breeding multiple males to the same female how do you know what the babies are. Do you only use co dom animals or normals.

In this case, the pastel will result in either pastel or normal offspring. The reduced pattern male has been bred to the females for several years and I know what the offspring look like from him. Anything else is normal to me. However, I usually hold back the girls and sell off the males.

All the other breedings I have going on are with recessive traits and for those I use only one male.
