Well I finally got my tegu to a proper herp vet and I have to say he wasn't alot of help. I payed $50 only to be told things I already knew like to soak him to help the shed come of and to continue using the shed-aid, He also said to keep the cage dry until it clears up to help avoid any infections, or fungus. As for the cracked skin he said I shouldn't worry too much because it really wasn't that serious and once the shed is finished it will clear right up.

I'm glad I went however because the vet was very thorough and checked every part of him. He did catch a really small speck of mouth rot right in the corner where he must have scratched himself and put some iodine on it to clear it up.
