I have five Saharan Sand Boas. Two of the five eat like little monsters every time food is offered to them. The other three will no eat. Does anybody have any thoughts on how I could get them eating? Thanks!

Wet down a corner of the cage. This species seems to prefer some humidity. You might even dunk them in the water bowl as they could be dehydrated. Some individuals are stupid and don't seem to be able to find their way to the water.

Mine are doing the same thing, and one had a seizure 2 weeks ago and was put on phenabarbitol. But, I was told that this is the time of year that they would estivate duting the hot season, so they may be acting out of instinct. I've got 2 that have not eaten for a number of weeks, and one that eats her own food and the others leftovers. Go figure?
Have you treated for parasites???
Do you live in an area where you are experiencing the onset of winter like we are?
just a couple possible causes.

Hmm, well it's good to at least hear that I'm not alone. We really don't get very cold here. I live in Houston, so we're all wearing coats and sitting by the fire when it hits 60 outside. I've treated for parasites. I'm thinking about taking them to the vet though to see if they can see something I'm not noticing. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Later!
