My 3 garters

aliceinwl Dec 07, 2004 08:50 PM

I thought I'd post some pics of my garters. This one is Gollum, he's a T. sirtalis from Santa Barbara County. I've had him since early spring, but he still insists that all his pinkis be scented with frog. He'll let the pinki die rather than eat it without scenting. I'm at a bit of a loss in terms of converting him to unscented.

Here's Smeagol. He's a T. elegans from Humbolt county. When I found him, he was a small neonate and was this solid olive color. With each shed, however, he's become more orange. I only had to scent his very first pinki.

Here's Deagol. He's a T. elegans from Santa Barbara county. I didn't even have to scent his first pinki I like to alternate between pinkis and fish for all my garters to give them a bit of variety. They also seem to have a lot of fun fishing!
