Australian Leaftail Gecko (Phyllurus Platurus). saw an add in the classifieds for it. i've never heard of it before, any body else?
yea, it's actually pretty rare and was only pretty recently discovered in a pretty narrow range in australia. the biggest difference in the tails between the two genus, if i recall correctly, is that the bulk of the phyllurus tail is composed of muscle tissue while in uroplatus its actually little more than dermal (skin) flaps. i know i ran across a few articles about the species in the herp journals at the ncsu library. if you've got a good university library near you, theres a chance you might be able to find some herp journals to try looking it up in (im not sure about how much is offered online).
