my beloved turtle has pased

bloodroses19 Dec 08, 2004 02:01 PM

my mali uro turtle has pased. he had pneumonia and could not be saved. we have been having problems with our heater. it keeps breaking. the first time it broke it was in the middle of the night and it was reallly really cold when i woke up. it useally stays really warm in the lizard room so i always turned off the lights and the only heat source they had was the heat in the house. im almost positive that this is why he got sick. after that i put a little electric heater in the room that turns on if it gets below 70 degrees. good thing i did because the heater broke about 3 times after the first time. i feel like such a bad mom because i thought he could be saved so i did not alow him to be put down. i should have because he suffered for a few days before he died. i just could not let him go. good bye turtle i love you. and im sorry.

Brandy,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I always read your post and you sound like you care about your animals as well as everyone elses on this forum (and other forums). Turtle was lucky to have you as a mom and don't feel bad about trying to help him because I would of done the same.

I am so sorry Brandy!

The decision between fighting and putting them out of their pain is a really hard one. We just went through it with our dog. You gave him a chance, and a lot of love, there is nothing else you can do!

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Doggies, gee how do you even explain the BOND, whew, I know how terrible this is, going through some stuff with a 15 year old as we speak. Dont want to think past today!

Anyway, I feel empathy, right there with ya my friend, and only agree with your feelings, you loved your doggie beyond measure and took care the best ya could, it comes a time WE all must leave. Your furry buddy is also in AWESOME hands !

Keep the cool stuff, INSIDE forever, that you shared !

Take care,
