question for brandon or anyone else who things they know.

brandon ,i read one of your old posts where you mentioned that most dealers claims of locale are bogus.i agree with you on that.i bought a hatchling about 12 months ago.the animal was no more than 5 or 6 weeks old at the time.the claim made by the dealer was that he was a manakawari.the truth is ,he could be basically any locale.im wondering if i gave you some info, and you gave me some info,id be able to figure out,to some extent, what his local is,or at the very least, what locales hes not.anyway ,what i know now is ,he is around 12 or 13 months old, eating great ever since i got him,and has been growing just as good but is still just as yellow as the day i got him.what locales can i rule out based on the fact that he hasnt changed color yet by 14 months??also ,if he is a manakawari, like hes claimed to be,what coloring could i expect?and what age do they change color?i have never seen an adult manakawari.are they pretty? any blue? anyone out there have a manakawari they feel like posting a pic of and maybe some info on what age your manakawari changed colors?thanks in advance..oh yea..what are you guys thoughs on food items other than rodents.pet store finches are pretty cheap and should be fun to feed an adult.or iguanas?id like to try a finch but i have had such good luck with my snake so far i dont want to risk any problems ,like parasites.my snake has been sooooooo hardy.i really dont see what all the fuss is about these guys.have i just been lucky or are these guys a lot easier to keep alive than all the books say?i mean i do nothing special.i keep him in a glass tank and feed him a mouse every 2 weeks.i dont check the humidity, dont spray him often at all.i just keep a water bowl and feed him twice a month.thats it.never had a single problem.not even a bad shed.ha ha now i know im gonna get home from work tonight and hes gonna be dead,,aint it always like that?..ha ha ..anyway ,any help you guys can offer..thanks

You can't really rule out any locality based on it not being changed at 13 to 14 months. Its a chondro and that is about all you can say now. When it finished its color change you might be able to get a good guess, but ya never know. Frankly, I don't put a whole lot of stock in localities being incredibly accurate, especially for the mainland groups.
