Getting a Red Tail

netonediecast Dec 08, 2004 10:39 PM

I am getting my first Red Tail next week. Can you guys help me with some idea for the cage I am using a 60 gallon tank for now. I know about the basic heat and water. But I was wondering if people use other things to make the tank look good and help the snake be more comfortable. Thanks in Advance.

babies will take advantage of the extra space and get plenty of exercise... congrats on your first boa

first of all, how big is the snake? a 60 gallon may be nice for an adult but for a baby or youth that is WAY too big. if it is a baby then a 10 gallon will be sufficient and it will make your snake feel more secure.
