question about whites tree frogs....

thodej Dec 09, 2004 02:26 AM

Hi, I am new to tree frogs, normally a monitor guy...

I am looking to get some white's but I have run into two names and I wonder if someone could clear it up for me.

I have seen both used....

litoria caerulea

pelodryas caerulea

I thought they may be aus. and indo....but they are the same species right so why would they have different names...
Also, if ne one could reccommend a good dealer...I am looking for Aus. White's Blue phase preferably.
Thanks for the help.

Pelodryas caerulea is synonymy of Litoria caerulea.
This is the result of the frog being named by some scientists.

Now, there isn't subfamily;Pelodryas caerulea.
And true scientific name is Litoria caerulea.

I'm sorry for my poor English.
from Japan.
