Need help with woma

mr_slithers Jul 02, 2003 10:49 AM

Hi,

Seeing as there are no "Woma" forums I figured this was as close as I was going to get so here goes....

I have a three year old male woma (48" that has stopped eating as of about 2 months ago. He has shed twice in this time and is extremely active. I have him in a standard 48" 55 gallon aquarium with sub-surface heating on one side, hide box on each side, and newspaper susbstrate. I have had him since he was about a month old and in this time he has NEVER seen a live rodent nor has he missed a meal. He has ALWAYS eaten F/T like there was no tomorrow. Any ideas about whats up? My vet seems to think that he is looking to breed and could care less about food at this time. I really want him to feed and am willing to try anything.

Thanks for the help,

J

ooops, just noticed a forum with others posting woma related material. Will move thread, but I am interested if others have ideas/thoughts.

Thanks!

i'd have to agree with your vet on this one...

nature will trump 'what you want' (i.e. woma to feed), and you can cause problems trying to disrupt what is more than likely a natural cycle. (since he's still active and healthy.)

good luck.
