our rescue lucky

alieliza Dec 09, 2004 06:04 AM

We recently rescued this iguana. The owners that had him previously had no lighting on him whatsoever when we picked him up (not even heat!!!). They said that he hasnt been eating recently (someone made a comment about that being because they haven't fed him). There were shrivled up pieces of romaine strewn about on the cage floor. There was no water for him. Someone said "i dont know why, but recently hes been acting a little mean." Geez!!! I wonder why!!!

As far as we can tell he doesnt look to have MBD.

Hes in our care now, has been soaked, and will be soaked again for rehydration, cleaning, etc...

Hes been eating well, and should be on his way back to health very soon.

Poor guy, he is so skinny and very pale. I hope that he knows that you will make him all better. Good luck and I will say Thank you for the little green guy.
